Map extends through the Northern region in France to the cities of Douai and Vieux-Conde located at the bottom of the map.
This map is from Coronelli's atlas "Isolario Descrittione" and has intricate title cartouches and scale with scroll bordering, a crest and crown..
The remarkable Vincenzo Coronelli (1650-1718), encyclopaedist, geographer, inventor and Doctor of Theology, was citizen of the Republic of Venice. He was also one of the most prominent mapmakers and publishers in Europe of his day.
